Position Overview:
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented QA Intern to join our Quality Assurance team at our Pune (Viman Nagar) location. This internship offers an opportunity to gain practical exposure to enterprise-level software testing practices and work closely with cross-functional teams in a professional IT environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and understand business and functional requirements
- Design and execute test cases for web and/or mobile applications
- Perform manual testing including functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing
- Identify, document, and track defects using standard defect management tools
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure timely resolution of issues
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans and test reports
- Participate in QA meetings, status updates, and review sessions
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or pursuing) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Fundamental understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Knowledge of manual testing methodologies and testing techniques
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) is preferred
- Basic knowledge of databases (SQL), APIs, or test automation concepts is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High level of attention to detail and quality
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
