Product Retirement

AMBIT Software allows customers to purchase and/or extend contractual support for the developed product.

The product retirement date will typically be five or six years after the release is first made generally available. After the actual retirement date, the release becomes a "retired" release. Retired releases are no longer supported via Standard Support offerings and are not available for sale. Retired releases are generally supported through Extended Support offerings. Extended Support is intended for product usage in existing customer systems that are operating under reasonably stable loads. Customers with Extended Support maintenance agreements will continue to receive support for workarounds to low severity problems and Patches and/or Rolling Patches as needed for high severity problems.

In general, Maintenance Packs or Rollup Packs will not be issued for retired releases. Customers also receive the ability to upgrade to the latest software.
